H4H - Project: Be the Light -- Interfaith Build, 1208 Share, Ypsilanti, MI

Compassion is at our core. It's who we are. We can't help but extend the compassion Christ has for us to those around us. So, we've embarked on an adventure to help rebuild a life and restore hope. To learn more about CompassionRules, click here.
We will be working on the home from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM - Saturdays April 17, May 1, May 15 and Sunday - May 23 (our special R.O.C.K. Sunday - combined service and Skype simulcast).
About the family (The Krisels):
Correlle was born in Detroit, MI, although he was raised in Ypsilanti where he has lived for the past 25 years. There, he attended Ypsi High and now attends WCC where he studies video production. He is currently employed with the Eisenhower Center where he works with rehab patients. On his own time, Correlle enjoys working on video editing, has a passion for music, and loves reading and studying the Bible. Sharmaine, originally from Ypsilanti, briefly moved to California when she was young but shortly returned to her hometown where she has been living for the past 15 years. She also went to Ypsi High where she first met Correlle when she was just 16. Sharmaine has been… (more)
About the project (1208 Share):
1208 Share is located in Ypsilanti, MI and has 4 bedrooms and a basement. Once completed it will be home to the Krisel Family. As the 2010 Interfaith Build, this renovation project will be completed by volunteers who come from a variety of different faiths. Members of the faith-based organizations who are sponsoring this project are welcome to sign-up to help build at this construction site! Much excitement surrounds this house, as it is always an inspirational experience when people from all parts of the community come together for a great cause! Learn more

A note from "The Boss"
As we proceed, we would appreciate prayers of safety for all involved in the
project. Prayer for the family and the neighborhood as a whole - that
the family would be welcomed warmly and extend a hand of friendship as
well and that the improvements made to the home will enhance the
neighborhood and value of everyone’s property in the area. Pray for the Krisel
children (a new baby is coming in weeks), that the children will all experience
safety and security and success in their future as a result of the stability that
homeownership provides. Pray for the children to make life-long friends and
to be healthy and to do well in school and better than they would have had
they been in a rental community throughout their lives. Pray for healthy
atmosphere, free from molds and allergens that often exist in rental properties
stunting children’s growth and development. Pray for the family’s home
church to support them throughout their Habitat experience and beyond.
Prayers of thanksgiving should be lifted up for all who are coming together to
make this project possible and we give thanks for those who will provide
lunches certain days and just so much more.
