Hey guys, like to chow down on wild game? Hang out with a bunch of other crazy outdoorsmen? Share stories (real or otherwise) of the one that got away? Well join a few us as we adventure out to the 4th Annual Wild Game Dinner at Crosswinds Church in Canton. Ron’s kayak, fishing and camping buddy, Rob, is part of this excellent event. There is a charity auction during the event with good stuff for a great cause. Oh, check out the guest speaker!

Beyond Sundays

Think church only happens on Sunday? Well, think again! At it’s very core the church that Jesus founded was a both gathering and going church; it’s an artistic impression of Christ himself; it’s the art of pursuing him and his priorities in this world.

So how do we move beyond Sundays? How do we bring together the art of pursuing him and his priorities in the world? Finally, why is this important and what does it does it look like?

The art of keeping it vertical - Mar. 4th

The art of seeing what God sees - Mar. 11th

The art of living it out - Mar. 18th

The art of a generous life - Mar. 25th

The art of living it together - Apr. 1st

So come on out and discover what real church can look like when it goes beyond Sundays. You’ll be challenged to re-think church…

Open House

Guess what? All those postcards and flyers that you’ve been seeing around town are true! We are having an open house, and you are indeed bringing the food! Well, as you will see, it’s not just food that the Dexter Food Bank needs right now.

So, here are the details:

What: An Open House celebrating our new facility in the heart of Dexter!
When: Sunday, March 4th, 10:30am (but you can also drop in any time between 10:00am-4:00pm).
Where: 7444 Dexter-Ann Arbor Rd. (a.k.a., The Blue Water Building – top of the hill, north side, can’t miss it!)

What Faith In Action/Dexter Food Bank needs right now:

Cereal (especially Cheerios)
Juice
Healthy Crackers
Shampoo and Conditioner
Laundry Soap in small jugs
Kleenex
Toilet Paper

So c’mon out, lend a hand and together let’s help people right here in our community; they just need a helping hand. It’s that simple.

Can you hear the question; fine building, now what do we do? No doubt we’re entering into a new era of Connexions life, so how do we move forward and where do we go from here? Well, as coach Vince Lombardi once said, Gentlemen, this is a football. In other words, before we set the course for the future, let’s get back to the basics; what we believe and who we are.

Some call it a doctrinal statement, some call it a statement of faith; we, however, simply refer to it as our affirmations. Pretty basic don’t you think?

There are times in life when the wheels fall off the wagon; when the odds seem as if they are stacked against us; when life seems to be falling apart right before our very eyes. It is in times like these when we feel alone. Any help that may exist seems out of reach and so there we sit; all is lost, or so it seems. But, just when we need it most guess who shows up?
